I saw ” I can feel it” by Phil Collins and it brought back really really sad memories. Good in ways, but also sad. Though, Im glad I came across this song.

Hi Kim. I have about fifty favorite Radiohead songs, so it definitely could have been Nude or maybe Climbing Up the Walls on a different day.

As I type, Across the Universe is on TV in the hostel here, and he’s singing the title track. I only had room for one Beatles tune in this list though.

Cool is always in the eye of the beholder…or in this case, listener. Music is so personal and I enjoy sharing songs that touch me too. I definitely share your love of a few of these. Some you introduced me to when we first met and others elicit memories because we listened to them over a beverage and good conversation.

‘Pig’ was one of the first songs you mentioned to me in an email when discussions arose about music tastes (remember, this girl actually likes music, I just speak in colours-hahaha)–what an inspiring message from an awesome band.
You are definitely responsible for my deepened appreciation of Radiohead–’Planet Telex’ is not my fave of theirs (hmm, perhaps ‘Nice Dream’ or ‘Nude’) but it has the most gorgeous guitar riff at the song’s end…so ethereal.
‘Apparitions’ was a fave of mine from long ago (the rat in your brain rules the world!) and of course almost anything from Portishead…well, you know. I still have ‘Pedestal’ on my Mp3 player actually–oh, and it’s great to hoop to ;)

Good luck with your job searching in Auckland…I look forward to your next report and shall seek out your next song list for Ween and more familiar David tunes!

I think Tragically Hip has the coolest name. I knew their name, but not very familiar with their music. Love the sound from the antique guitars, and the counter point vocal technique. Good songs you enjoy. I like many of them as well. .-= Erin´s last blog ..The Holy One =-.
