Goodbye Thailand, I Miss You Already

Early morning in Hua Hin

Early morning in Hua Hin

Well, my four weeks in Thailand is up, and I’m sad to leave. I arrived in New Zealand yesterday so my spirits are high but I do wish I had more time for pad thai, beaches, Singha beer, banana pancakes and night markets. It seems hard to believe now, but I actually thought I might not like Thailand. Now I am determined to go back one day.

Ah well.

My blogging mismanagement continues, and there will be no article today. Hopefully Monday’s was sufficiently long-winded to keep you busy. More stories and updates are coming to David Goes Kiwi as well over the next few days.

I have a bit of a backlog of emails too, sorry for the slow turnaround. Each will be answered soon, thank you as always for writing me.

Hm… I just realized another problem (for me) about you going on this trip. Time is flying while YOU are having fun. I can’t believe you’ve been in Thailand for a MONTH! I don’t think I did anything exciting during that time… another month I’ll never get back. Your trip is aging me at an alarming rate!

PS: If you ever come visit, I’ll make you banana pancakes (they are Hunter’s fave.)

It has been unbelievable so far. I’ve only spent two days in New Zealand and I’m overwhelmed with its beauty. Everything, from the plants to the soil to the sand, is completely different that what I’ve seen before. I will post pictures on DGK and Facebook very soon.

I had the opportunity to sail to New Zealand, but I missed it. I will look forward to your adventures there. I have heard it is an amazing place in many ways!

I am amazed so far, not just at the natural beauty but the cleanliness and friendliness of Auckland. Tomorrow I leave for Tauranga. New Zealand updates coming soon, I’m a little behind.

David November 29, 2009 at 10:54 pm

Hi Heinz. Tomorrow I will post about my experience in Hua Hin, which was my last stop in Thailand. I went Bangkok – Chiang Mai – Krabi – Ko Lanta – Ko Phi Phi – Ko Lanta – Trang – Hua Hin and back to Bangkok.

Did you have any questions about traveling alone?
